Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships are given to academically good students. It helps in research cooperation between Switzerland and other 180 countries. The research students are encouraged to come to Switzerland to complete their post-graduate courses. The scholarships are intended towards covering basic monthly expenses, tuition fees exemption, health insurance, flight expenses, housing allowance, and many other things as stated. Some universities grant scholarships to candidates who get enrolled in their programs. Swiss universities that offer scholarships to foreign students are:

ETH excellence scholarships, the University of Lausanne master’s grant for foreign students, EPFL excellence fellowships, graduate institute Geneva scholarships, IMD MBA scholarships, and Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and human rights scholarships. Students with academically best records are given fellowships for a master's degree by Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne.

Employment Opportunities

The Foreign national Act enables international students having a Swiss degree to stay in the country for up to six months and find a job. The graduates can work up to 15 hours a week. During this tenure, the students must have adequate financial resources and housing facilities.
